My investment in the food industry goes beyond servicing and employing local people, but buying from local growers and wholesalers, and educating myself with a Commercial Cookery Qualification. In early 2024, I was selected to be a finalist in the famous competition “Proud to be a Chef.” An opportunity which develops and supports future culinary leaders. This intensive competition took me all over Victoria where I was taught by some of Australia’s top chefs. An experience which will never be forgotten.
Now it’s 9 years down the track and none of this would be possible without the support I have from my family, friends and colleagues. I could never have dreamt of cooking for so many people. Going on this wild ride has pushed me outside my comfort zone and I have achieved things I never thought possible. Food brings people together and I love creating the experience for everyone to enjoy.
